A Beautiful Noise will be taking the stage live this season at the prestigious Broadhurst Theatre on Sunday 24th September 2023! The life and work of Neil Diamond are the subject of a brand-new Broadway musical. His greatest hits, including "Sweet Caroline," are all featured in the production, which will be performed by an exceptional cast under the guidance of Will Swenson.
Overall, the show is an emotionally-charged, thrilling and electrifying musical memoir that tells the inspiring true narrative of how America's greatest hitmaker became a celebrity. It is uniquely set to the songs that characterized Diamond’s career, much like Jersey Boys before it.
The story follows an talented Jewish artist from Flatbush, whose family name is called Diamond. As he grows up, he finds his feet as a performer at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village, continuing to sign a record deal that comes back to haunt him, and as years pass by, he walks away from one marriage after another. "Amid all that, Diamond evolves into a globe-trotting, sequin-wearing, arena-playing star,” Broadway World shares.
According to prior reports, singer-songwriter Neil Diamond-Then will be played by Will Swenson, who most recently played in the Off-Broadway revival of Assassins. Neil Diamond-Now will be played by Tony contender Mark Jacoby, Robyn Hurder as Marcia, while Linda Powell is cast as the Doctor.
The creative team comprises Highly regarded director esteemed director Michael Mayer, highly acclaimed Anthony McCarten, and Olivier Award-winning choreographer Steven Hoggett.
