The life and work of Neil Diamond are the subject of a brand-new Broadway musical. His greatest hits, including "Song Sung Blue," are all included in the production, which will be performed by an outstanding cast under the direction of Will Swenson.

The story follows an ambitious Jewish artist from Flatbush, whose family name is actually Diamond. As he grows up, he finds his place as a performer at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village, immediately signs a record deal that comes back to haunt him, and as years pass by, he walks away from one marriage after another. According to prior reports, singer-songwriter Neil Diamond-Then will be played by Will Swenson, who most recently starred in the Off-Broadway revival of Assassins. Neil Diamond-Now will be played by Mark Jacoby, talented performer Robyn Hurder as Marcia, while Linda Powell is cast as the Doctor.
The creative team comprises Tony Award-winning director esteemed director Michael Mayer, highly acclaimed screenwriter Anthony McCarten, and Olivier Award-winning choreographer Steven Hoggett.
